A portrait scarf is decided at two metres. Satin loses shadow detail first; by that distance most scarves have merged the hairline and the collar into one dark mass, but on this campaign scarf the hair, the collar edge and the tie still read separately. The two ends carry different artwork. One holds the portrait, with the map outline and the party emblem beneath it; the other the party acronym sized to the full band width. Neither end is mirrored, so a photograph taken in a crowd catches either the face or the name. Total length 175.5 cm, body 161.5 cm, width 13.5 cm, with 7 cm gold tassels at each end on a braided header. Single-sided print; the reverse is a pale mirror image.

This design has been produced for a client in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and colour, size, logo and portrait can all be customised on request. Production runs in a 20,000 m² facility at over 10,000 pieces a day, certified to ISO 9001 and BSCI.
